On April 8, 2020, Ashland Foundry & Machine Works LLC received a call from a customer explaining an urgent need for two impellers to complete pump repairs for the USNS Comfort & USNS Mercy for auxiliary steam service in order to complete their mission in helping fight the COVID-19 health pandemic.
