JOB TITLE: Sales Manager
Department: Administration | Reports to: President
Purpose of the Position:
Develop an overall sales and marketing strategy to sell steel, stainless steel and high alloy castings, finished machine parts, and related services. Responsible to create and increase profitable commercial sales for AFMW.
Skills / Requirements:
- Prefer bachelor’s degree in Engineering and marketing
- 10 – 15 years in casting/machined casting sales preferably in steel, stainless steel and high alloys
- Good technical skills – be able to read and interpret casting and machine drawings
- Foundry and machining background
- Knowledge of equipment used in oil, gas, mineral and heavy industries
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Up to 70% travel required
Measures of Performance:
- New Sales Dollars generated
- Profitability on new sales dollars
- New customers generated
- RFQs generated and Quote “hit” rate
- Sales satisfaction as measured on customer surveys
Major Responsibilities:
- Plays a key role in developing new customers, markets, and sales to meet growth objectives of AFMW
- Recommends marketing and sales strategies to senior management
- Seeks new product and service opportunities
- Makes customer visits
- Supports customer service in the field
- Provides feedback to senior management.
